what is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a practice rooted in Eastern medicine that uses very fine, sterile needles placed at specific points on the body to encourage natural healing, balance the nervous system, and restore physical, emotional, and energetic well-being.

What can i expect during my appointment?
Your appointment is a collaboration. Here's a simple overview of the experience:
Arrival: You'll arrive and settle into a calm, private treatment room.
Connection: We'll chat briefly about how you're feeling, any new updates, and your goals for the session.
Treatment: Acupuncture points are chosen based on your needs. You'll rest with the needles in place for about 25–40 minutes, depending on the length of your session.
Integration: After resting, we’ll reconnect, reassess, and offer any next steps or reflections included in your individualized care plan.
You are encouraged to relax deeply — it’s very normal to drift into a meditative, dream-like state during your session.
What should i do before i arrive?
Hydrate: Drink water before your appointment. Well-hydrated tissues respond better to treatment.
Eat Lightly: A small meal or snack within 1–3 hours before your session is ideal.
Comfortable Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothes or bring a change of clothes if needed.
Arrive with Time: Give yourself 5 minutes so you can arrive unrushed.
where should i park?
There are two free parking options:
Street Parking: Limited spaces directly outside and along the perimeter of the building (marked in the map below).
Garage Parking:
Enter the garage behind the building from Woodward St.
Park in any space on the first level that allows visitor parking.
Scan the QR code at the front of your parking space to register your car.
Enter the private passcode 374871 when prompted — this ensures you are registered as a Care by Saima guest.
How do i get into the office?
Once you arrive at the building, you'll find a keypad lock at the entrance.
The private entrance code will be messaged to you through your secure Acubliss portal on the day of your appointment.
Simply enter the code and press the “unlocked lock” image on the keypad to unlock the door.
Come on in and step into a space created just for your healing.
what should i do after my session?
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to support your body's healing process.
Rest or Move Gently: Allow yourself time to integrate the treatment. Gentle movement (like walking or stretching) can feel good.
Listen to Your Body: Acupuncture connects you more deeply to your body. Honor what you notice — whether it's a call for rest, hydration, nourishment, or simply quiet.
You get out of this work what you choose to put into it. If you listen, if you lean in, the healing will follow.
